Dr. Parisa (Risa) Vatanka, PharmD, is a thought leader, strategic thinker, and champion of health care delivery optimization through digital health integration.  She is the Senior Director of Corporate Alliances at the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and has founded and chaired pharmacist-led digital health conferences across the United States, including DHX (CPhA), Digital Health.Rx (APhA), and the Digital Health Institute (AACP).  Dr. Vatanka is the Creator & Editor of the Digital Health Corner e-newsletter via CPhA.  

She brings her early roots in community pharmacy and significant contributions to the pharmacy profession and development in digital health to help us grasp the full breadth of digital health and its plethora of opportunities in digital health that are rapidly developing for pharmacists.

Dr. Michelle Harrison, PharmD, is a graduate of VCU School of Pharmacy who is the Director of Pharmacy at Sheltering Arms Institute (a Collaboration with VCU Health) and Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Inpatient Pharmacy Services at VCU Health.  Today, she will be helping us identify the major challenges in the junction of healthcare and technology.  These are the research opportunities for us, as students of pharmacy and digital health, in the immediate future and the areas of opportunity in the healthcare we will graduate into.
